Located in the heart of England, Birmingham Airport is a busy travel hub in the Midlands and has been offering flights since the 1930s.

Some 9.6 million passengers travelled through the airport in 2008 to destinations from Barcelona and New York to Cancun and Split.

Getting to Birmingham Airport

Due to its central location at the core of the motorway network, Birmingham Airport can be accessed by car from the M5, M6, M6 Toll, M40 and M1, and is one mile from junction 6 of the M42.

Alternatively, the travel hub is well serviced by a bus network - which stop outside terminal one - from destinations such as Birmingham city centre, Tamworth, Nuneaton, Atherstone and Sutton Coldfield.

There are also some 250 trains that depart from the airport each day and regular services to Birmingham New Street, Coventry and other local stations.
