Jet2 announces Blackpool Airport services for 2011 Jet2 has announced that services to Belfast and Jersey will be running from Blackpool Airport in summer 2011.

The low-cost airline has put seats on sale for both services costing 19.99 one way including taxes.

Services to Belfast are due to begin on April 22nd and flights to Jersey will commence the following month on May 27th.

Jersey is the ideal place for a short break, thanks to its natural beauty and shopper-friendly VAT rates, while Belfast is ideal for those looking for some fast-paced excitement, according to Jet2.

The carrier currently operates eight services from Blackpool Airport and the latest additions are the latest in a series which have seen the airline increase its services from regional travel hubs.

Last month Jet2 announced five new routes from Newcastle Airport in 2011, taking its destinations from the northern hub up to 24.

The new destinations for the airport next summer will be Krakow, Prague, Alicante, Faro and Toulouse. An extra 150,000 new seats will also be added when the carrier bases a fifth aircraft at the airport.
