When we returned to Edinburgh yesterday from Stanstead (23/07/12) we telephoned the office as instructed however from the time we called to the time we were picked up at stance 11 it was approx 35 minutes later on a wet and cold evening. A very small bus with the same driver came twice while we stood and told us he was only taking blue tickets due to heavy traffic going towards the furthest away car park so we were left standing. When another bus came third time around that guy said he was taking any colour of ticket as long as we had one !! My first experience of using your car park was extremely poor and I was not amused at being told because of busy traffic myself and my 2 young children were being left standing out in the cold and wet because we had an orange ticket. I would have very much appreciated a much fairer system of turn about at dropping off at the car parks not preferential treatment given to the closest one.

The only thing that worried me this time I used this company was that they had no proof of my booking and at 5.30 in the morning was a bit worrying .Lucky I had my reservation printed out, I don't what would have happened if not . Next time I will still use F H R but will use a car park nearer airport . Mrs A Brennan

Unfortunately,due to some "computing error" we were told we had to go to Flying Scot parking which caused some panic to my passengers as I was not familiar with the area.Luckily this did not cost us too much time. The staff were very helpfull

The website we booked through the directions were a little unclear but as I had an idea of where you were it didn't really upset us ,but a couple of customers in front of us were less than impressed. I felt sorry for the young guy on the reception as he got the brunt of it. Full marks to the transfer coach drivers as it really is a thankless job they have especially when its busy. Also took advantage of your wash and wax , it was nice to come back to a clean and not dusty car, and it was really good value.

Hi The actual transfers went very smoothly but this carpark has changed location and is not nearly as handy as it used to be. Waiting for buses etc is a nightmare if its rush hour traffic time as its now located beside the Newbridge Roundabout. This is my fault for not checking all the small print to note that it had changed address. The staff were very nice as usual and its not their fault the location has changed.

I am sure this car park is good value for money for the majority. Waited a while after flight delay for a transfer coach back to our car. The first coach took Flying Scot customers only and the came back with same driver for the Low Cost customers so we were left to feel less important. Our car was dented on the bumper by another customer although Low Cost staff did get the customer's insurance details. It was a let down on return from holiday so we are perhaps not the best customers to ask for a review in the light of this accident.

Recently opened and considerably cheaper than other car parks possibly to attract business from a standing start , possibly because of slightly disadvantageous location - which did not in any way put us off. I would recommend to anyone.

Directions for Low Cost Parking

Larger commercial vehicles may be subject to an extra charge - assessed on arrival

You will have to leave your keys on arrival at the car park

Please be aware that satellite navigation systems are not guaranteed to take you directly to the car park, please use the directions provided below. We cannot be held responsible if you fail to locate the car park or are delayed.

From the Newbridge roundabout:
Take turnoff for McDonalds (Clifton Hall Road) take 1st left into Harvest Road and go under the bridge and then take 1st left for Ratho Station (Harvest Drive) follow the road around for 400 yds and take 1st left into Queen Anne Drive and pass the Newbridge Bond and the car park entrance is straight ahead.
Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in time.

From Edinburgh and east
Take the Glasgow road heading for the Newbridge roundabout- just before the walk over bridge take 1st left into Ratho Station -take 2nd right into Station Road and then 1st Right into Queen Anne Drive ( just at SSE ) and the car park entrance is straight ahead.

Please note the transfer buses are not accessible by wheelchairs.

On return
Please use the Flying Scot Courtesy phones inside the baggage reclaim or at the main front doors and use the Freephone number printed on the boards to call and advise the car park that you are ready for collection.
Make your way out to stand 7 in the coach park ( where you were dropped off) .The buses will collect you there and take you back to your car .

All vehicles are inspected on arrival at the car park by a member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff. Any customer not present at the inspection of their own vehicle agrees to the report submitted by the member of Lowcost/Flying Scot Edinburgh staff and therefore cannot claim at a later date for any damage on this report. Insurance cover can be arranged, if prior notification is given for a joint external inspection cost (£5.00) and please allow extra (30mins) for the checkin to be done in time before departure. Otherwise your car would be parked under your own insurance and at your own risk.

Hi not sure what car I am going to be using can I change the car on the day,as mine is in the garage ,not sure if I will be ready for Friday If the vehicle details change from what you have booked then you can email or call us and we will update your booking
