Recent reports have suggested Desperate Housewives heartthrob Jesse Metcalfe is being lined up to replace Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe in the West End play Equus.

The 1973 play by Peter Shaffer is considered controversial, as it deals with a young man who has a pathological fascination with horses.
Daniel Radcliffe won universal acclaim for his performance in the role of Alan Strang, which includes nude scenes.
Metcalfe, who is currently dating Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle, is now hotly tipped to succeed the young British actor when his run on stage finishes in June.
A source told the Metro newspaper: “Jesse is a massive talent and it would be great for him to make his West End debut in Equus.”
The play began life with the Royal National Theatre at the Old Vic in 1973, with Peter Firth taking on the role of Alan Strang.
It later moved onto Broadway at the Plymouth Theatre, where Hollywood star Anthony Hopkins was added to the cast as physiatrist Martin Dysart.
