Joseph sticks with Lee Mead

Joseph sticks with Lee MeadJoseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is set to continue its run with Lee Mead in the starring role.

Mead won his role as Joseph through BBC talent show Any Dream Will Do and has obviously made an impressive enough start to convince the show producers to keep him on.

Tickets for the musical at the Adelphi Theatre are now on sale until October 18th next year, according to the London Theatre Guide.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is one of London’s most popular shows and combines the musical talents of Andrew Lloyd Webber with the lyrics of Tim Rice, one of the men behind the equally popular Lion King.

The current production of Joseph is a retelling of the 1990 version of the musical, which showed at the London Palladium.

It retells the biblical story of Joseph, his 11 brothers and the famous coat of many colours. Among the well known songs in the show are Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door to Me and One More Angel in Heaven.
