Virgin offers new vodka to Heathrow visitorsVirgin Atlantic customers using the airline’s Clubhouse facility at London Heathrow Airport will soon be offered a new tipple.

The airline will offer Akvinta vodka, a five-times distilled ‘super premium’ vodka from Croatia, to its passengers prior to the departure of their flight.

From June 1st, the drink will be available as a pouring vodka and will also feature on Virgin’s Clubhouse cocktail list.

A competition has been organised to celebrate the launch of the new beverage, which will see Clubhouse staff competing to create a unique cocktail.

The winning concoction will be exclusive to Virgin Atlantic passengers and will be served from June onwards.

Paul Dickinson, director of sales and marketing for the airline, said: "We’re pleased to be able to showcase this new Akvinta vodka in our Heathrow Clubhouse and we’re certain it will prove to be very popular with our passengers."

The Virgin Atlantic facility is one of many airport lounges available at Heathrow, which also offers a range of airport parking facilities and airport hotels.
