Budget airline easyJet has announced that it will launch two new routes from Manchester Airport this year, to Sofia in Bulgaria and Geneva in Switzerland.
The Bulgarian route will open on December 11th and the Swiss service will begin on the following day.
Nine weekly flights will be available to Geneva, while Sofia will be served by three flights per week.
Both of these connections are expected to prove popular among winter sports enthusiasts, as they provide access to skiing destinations in the Alps and the Pirin mountain range.
Tim McDermott, aviation development director at Manchester, said: "We’re delighted to see easyJet continuing to expand their route network from Manchester Airport.
"Sofia and Geneva are important business and leisure destinations and we are sure they will prove to be incredibly popular with our passengers."
The new routes bring the total number of destinations served by easyJet from Manchester to seven. New flights to Alicante are set to launch on September 29th.
