Passengers travelling from Heathrow Airport will now be able to connect to BT Openzone without having to use an access voucher.
Holidaymakers and business travellers using the London airport’s Terminal Four will be able to use free Wi-Fi from the SkyTeam landing page.
SkyTeam, a global airline alliance partnership, said it has created a home from home for people to relax in.
Chris Bruce, general manager of BT Openzone, commented that Wi-Fi was "essential" to business and leisure travellers.
"We’ve also added over 10,000 international hotpots in the last year to help international travellers stay connected wherever they are," he added.
Francesca Freeland, lead for SkyTeam Heathrow Airport team, said it was a "significant" move for SkyTeam and it brought Terminal Four one step closer to becoming an airport facility centred around its passengers.
Holidaymakers and business travellers who are staying in airport hotels can also connect to BT Wi-Fi at the Hilton, Thistle and Ramada Jarvis hotels.
This comes after research from the price comparison website Cheapflights.co.uk recommended that families travelling from Heathrow Airport should use the Jetterz Kids Club Lounge to keep their children entertained.
