Thomas Cook services 'expanded' at Leeds Bradford AirportThomas Cook Airlines has announced that it is to offer three new flight destinations out of LeedsBradford Airport.

Starting in November, the airline will offer direct flights out of the Yorkshire airport to Sharm el Sheikh as well as to the Tunisian destination of Monistir, with these services to be available until April 2010.

At the same time, it has also been confirmed that, over the course of the summer of 2010, Thomas Cook will also fly to Antalya in Turkey, as well as to Sharm el Sheikh as it looks to expand on its operations out of Leeds Bradford.

Welcoming the news, Leeds Bradford Airport commercial director Tony Hallwood said: "We know from our customers that flying from their regional airport is a high priority and we welcome the news that Thomas Cook Airlines is adding to the range and availability of destinations."

At the start of August, low-cost airline Ryanair announced that it would be setting up a new base at Leeds Bradford, with the carrier set to offer 17 new routes out of Yorkshire from March 2010.
