Southampton Airport provides first-class customer service, according to the nominees and winners of an awards ceremony held at the travel hub this week.
It has been voted the best airport in Europe for its provision of customer services and the number of nominations received demonstrate how many teams go "the extra-mile", the airport said.
Kevin Brown, managing director at the airport, remarked that he was proud of the winners.
"I continuously receive compliments regarding the customer service offered by staff at Southampton Airport, and so we felt it was important to recognise this in a new airport-wide scheme," he added.
Of the 70 nominees, 12 monthly winners were sent to a judging panel that then chose three winners a gold, silver and bronze.
Sarah Davis, from Tourism South East, who voted on the panel, remarked that the calibre of entrants was very high.
This comes after it was announced that BAA would be injecting £7 million into Southampton Airport to transform the travel hub.
