Pret A Manger has been added to the growing list of shops and amenities available at Birmingham Airport.
The franchise, which specialises in fresh and handmade sandwiches, will be opening three branches within Birmingham Airport.
Two will be located in terminal one in the departure lounge and the landside, while the third will be an external kiosk.
Richard Gill, head of market development – commercial at Birmingham Airport, said that the new stores are part of an ongoing project to improve the services on offer to passengers at the terminal.
"The airport is currently embarking on a £13 million terminal redesign, which will see a vastly improved commercial offering to passengers, and these new Pret A Manger outlets signal our intent to attract the very best to Birmingham," he explained.
Work is to begin on the new stores in March. Once they are completed in May they will be open for service between 04:00GMT and 23:00GMT , with the option of serving 24 hours during busy periods.
Shops, restaurants and lounges are all increasingly becoming part of the airport experience for passengers. For a truly relaxing experience travellers can also book into an airport hotel the night before.
Reports have been emerging recently that Birmingham Airport could soon be connected to London through a high speed rail link.
