Marks & Spencer has announced that it is opening a Simply Food store at Birmingham Airport at the end of this year.
The store, which will sell a range of snacks and convenience foods, is due to open in the central arrivals area of terminal one in December 2010.
It is part of a £13 million investment by Birmingham Airport to improve the facilities for travellers in both terminals.
Richard Gill, head of commercial at Birmingham Airport, said: "We are committed to improving passenger experience and attracting quality brands like M&S Simply Food as part of our development strategy."
The opening of an Upper Crust and three Pret A Manger sandwich shops at Birmingham Airport has also recently been announced.
Plans for a high-speed rail network announced earlier this month mean that Birmingham is likely to receive a serious boost in passenger numbers in the coming years.
The route, which runs from London to the west midlands travel hub, will carry trains travelling at up to 250mph.
