Glasgow Airport is to become the first UK airport to include a Tesco Express store in its terminal.
The new store, due to be opened later this year, will be located in the domestic arrivals area of the Scottish travel hub.
Dairy products, ready meals, breads, sandwiches, snacks and drinks, among other items which are designed to fill the needs of travellers arriving home, will be on offer.
Tony McElroy, Tesco corporate affairs manager, said: “Our Glasgow Airport store will have the same great range and prices as the Tesco Express stores you find in Scotland’s high streets, and it will enable travellers arriving in Glasgow to pick up those essential items before heading home.”
He added that the new store will bring around 20 new jobs to the area.
Glasgow Airport already boasts Boots, Sunglasses Hut, WH Smith and Swarovski among its retail offerings.
People staying at a Glasgow Airport hotel will also be able to use the Tesco Express store to pick up any last minute essentials before jetting off.
