Travellers will soon be able to fly from Glasgow's Prestwick Airport to Madeira.
Atlantic Holidays, a specialist tour operator, will be involved with the flights, which will be operated by Monarch Airlines and will run on July 4th, 11th and 18th.
"We're delighted to offer flights to Madeira this summer with Atlantic Holidays and Monarch. Only four hours away from Prestwick and with excellent flight times, our new service will appeal both to families wanting a high-quality package holiday and to those who want flight-only to get out to their timeshare," Prestwick Airport's Paula Horne said.
She added that the island is popular due to its sub-tropical climate, rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.
Prices will begin at £539 for a deal that includes seven nights bed and breakfast at The Estrelicia Hotel.
In addition, travellers at Prestwick Airport can eat and drink at a number of establishments, including Yates's, Caffe Ritazza, Elvis Presley Bar, Peckham's, Starbucks and The Food Village.
