Passengers will soon be able to travel from Blackpool Airport to Madeira after a holiday company has decided to expand its operation from the travel hub.
Atlantic Holidays, a Portuguese specialist, will offer holidaymakers a seven night stay in the island's capital Funchal on flights that leave from Blackpool Airport.
Holidaymakers choosing this break can pick from three to five star accommodation and travel between May 23rd and September 26th 2011.
"We are delighted to add Blackpool Airport to our portfolio and we are confident that Madeira will prove extremely popular. We will be using a Monarch Airlines A320 aircraft to operate these flights solely for Atlantic Holidays," Dino Toouli, sales and marketing manager at Atlantic Holidays, said.
In addition, travellers can also fly from Blackpool Airport to a range of Italian destinations with Newmarket Holidays. The company offers locations such as Padua, Venice and places along the shore of the Adriatic, with flights departing from May 15th 2011.
