Eastern Airways is planning to move its Birmingham Airport flights to Terminal 2 from Terminal 1 next month.
The UK regional airline will make the change on Tuesday February 8th due to the recent opening of the airport's new centralised security facility.
Passengers will not be inconvenienced, however, as they will be able to bypass queues at security search and access a fast track security channel.
"Terminal 2 is primarily used by airlines flying to domestic and European short haul destinations and it makes sense for our cross country business-focused flights to operate from this terminal," Roger Hage, Eastern Airways' ground operations manager, said.
He added that travellers flying with Eastern Airways from Birmingham Airport's Terminal 2 will have to cover less space between check-in and the gate and can thus reach their destination more quickly.
In addition, passengers can shop at a variety of stores at the travel hub, including Austin Reed and Alpha Tax and Duty Free.
