A team from a subsidiary company of British Airways have decided to cycle a route that the company usually operates a plane along from Edinburgh Airport to London City Airport.
The Messenger reported that the group, which is being led by Neil Dougan, are travelling the 500 mile route to raise money for Comic Relief.
On June 19th the ten strong team, who work for BA CityFlyer, will leave the Scottish travel hub with two support crew and make their way to London along the route that would take 90 minutes by plane.
They aim to arrive at the London travel hub on June 24th and hope to raise £10,000, which will go to Flying Start, a charity run by Comic Relief and British Airways.
In addition, this June Edinburgh Airport is holding the Race The Runway event, where drivers have the opportunity to race their car down a track to raise money for the Scottish Burned Children's Club.
