Holidaymakers looking ahead to next year will be able to fly to Lisbon, Rome (Fiumicino) and Barcelona with bmibaby.
Flights are now available to book online, bringing the number of destinations that the low-cost airline offers from the hub to 14.
Martyn Lloyd, Birmingham Airport's Air Services Development director, said that this route expansion gives people in the Midlands a greater choice and takes away the need for a long car journey to another airport.
"We’ve invested £100 million in the last few years to improve the passenger journey and just last week we opened our new terminal, providing a brand new duty free store, a more pleasant security environment and larger arrivals zone. We look forward to welcoming more passengers to Birmingham and launching these new destinations next summer," he added.
Recently, Birmingham Airport announced that its new £13 million terminal was opened up to business leaders by secretary of state for transport Philip Hammond.
