Southampton Airport has recently waved off a new summer service to a French destination and is set to launch another two.
Flybe launched a flight to Clermont-Ferrand and another will leave for Pau this week (May 26th).
This will be followed by an inaugural flight to Beziers, which will take off on Friday May 27th.
When the Clermont-Ferrand flight arrived on French soil last weekend (Saturday May 21st), local fire trucks held a water display to welcome it and passengers leaving the plane were treated to wine and cheese.
"Our three brand new routes from Southampton have been well received by passengers and open up regional France even further. They reinforce our commitment to expanding our services into Europe and strengthens Flybe's position as the airline that operates more routes from the UK to France than any other," Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer at Flybe, said.
In addition, Jan Halliday, director of marketing and communications at Southampton Airport, also welcomed the route, saying that it made the English city more accessible for French fliers and vice versa.
Passengers using the English travel hub can also reach a number of additional destinations in France, including Bergerac, Bordeaux and Paris.
