More than 11,000 passengers are expected to pass through Aberdeen Airport today (July 1st) as school is out for the summer.
Schools in Aberdeen are now breaking up for the holidays and the travel hub expects more than 35,000 people to use its Dyce terminal over the weekend.
Families with young children may find driving to Aberdeen Airport is a convenient option, especially with a mountain of luggage to take.
Upon their return, putting tired children to sleep in the car, rather than waiting for public transport, can ensure mums and dads get some peace and quiet.
The travel facility has long and short-stay parking options, as well as a priority airport carpark.
"A great deal of work goes into planning for the summer getaway. As budgets remain tight we appreciate that this may be families' only break of the year and we want to make sure that it is a smooth and enjoyable one," stated head of security and terminal operations George Cowie.
