Beatles fans may wish to head to Liverpool Airport to kick-start their band experience in the north-western city.
According to a spokeswoman for VisitLiverpool.com, keen followers of the legendary 60s hitmakers can enjoy a whole host of attractions in the area, including taking a trip to the Cavern Club, where The Beatles made their first appearance on February 9th 1961.
Another must-see for fans is The Beatles Story, a museum which charts the four-piece boy band's rise to fame, as well as visiting the childhood homes of frontman Sir Paul McCartney and the late John Lennon.
The spokeswoman said: "No mention of Liverpool would be complete without The Beatles."
However, those heading to Liverpool on early or late flights from overseas or elsewhere in the UK need not worry about getting to and from the airport.
