Stansted Airport and Thomas Cook join for holiday deals

Thomas Cook has launched some autumn holiday deals for travellers who can depart for some sun from Stansted Airport.

The tour operator has September and October getaways for destinations including Turkey, Tenerife and Tunisa, while Britons are also being offered the chance to fly to Lanzarote and Rhodes.

Stansted Airport's managing director Nick Barton commented: "It's great to see our operators are able to offer travellers a choice of sunshine destinations this autumn. Whether it is a short weekend getaway or longer break there is something for everyone."

He added that the travel hub continues to try and make the travelling experience as enjoyable as possible for people, such as by providing a wider selection of eateries with the opening of YO! Sushi.

The sushi chain opened a branch at Stansted Airport last month in the international departures lounge, while it also has three fridges with takeaway food for those on the go.
