For many years now, passengers have been booking Heathrow Airport Hotels for the night before the fly but now they can sleep airside at Heathrow Terminal 3 in the first airside hotel in Britain from No 1 Traveller.
The soundproofed cabins are located away from the hustle and bustle of the main airport terminal and offer guests a comfortable sleep with bed, mini-bar, shower, television and Wi-Fi internet access.
No 1 Traveller, which also offers UK Airport Lounges at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted, provide 12 cabins at Heathrow Terminal 3 and prices start from just £20 per hour for a single and £30 per hour for a twin with a minmum stay of 2 hours. The airside rooms are available from 04:30am to 10:30pm.
Airside hotels may be new to Britain but have been operating at airports such as Amsterdam Schiiphol for a number of years where several hotels exist. Passengers utilise the cabins for sleepovers whilst waiting for connecting flights.
