Jetting away to escape the cold weather and dark nights this October half-term? Leading travel services company FHR have compiled a top 5 list of airport parking services at Gatwick.
It may be one of the smaller car parks near Gatwick but Cophall Farm continually hits the top spot when reviewed by FHR customers, currently scoring 94%. This family run car park has recently achieved the Park Mark award for security and offers the best price over the half-term week. Parking for a week, departing on Saturday 27th October, will cost just £52 and that includes airport transfers which run on-demand. For an extra £20 you can upgrade your parking with Cophall Farm to a Meet & Greet service where your car is collected from the airport, driven to the secure car park and brought back ready for collection on your return.
Located just round the corner from Cophall Farm is APH which has been providing Gatwick parking for over 32 years. APH Gatwick holds the Park Mark award for security and a weeks parking during the half-term week is £61.42 including transfers which run every 15 minutes and taking approximately 10-15 minutes. FHR customers have given APH a 91% approval rating.
The Long Stay car parks at both the North and South Terminals may be slightly more expensive than the off-site options but many customers prefer to park within the airport grounds and as self-park car parks, customers can keep their keys. Over the half-term week, Long Stay South is £72.80 and Long Stay North is £89.40 both rates include transfers however it is worth noting that the transfer time to the terminal doors may not be that different from the time taken to transfer from the cheaper off-airport companies.
If you’re looking for a convenient Meet and Greet service where your car is collected from outside the airport terminal, taken to the secure compound by an insured drive and delivered back ready for collection on your return, Skyparking offers the most competitive price of £57.50 for a week starting Saturday 27th October. This hassle free option is ideal for families with luggage as there is no need for transfers and has an 87% rating from previous customers.
I Love Meet & Greet may be one of the newest services at Gatwick but was set-up by the people who started off the very first Meet & Greet at the airport over 27 years ago. FHR customers regularly compliment the politeness of the drivers and overall professionalism which accounts for the high review score of 91%. As with all Meet & Greet services, transfers aren’t required and cars are parked in a secure compound just a short distance from Gatwick. Over the half-term week, I Love Meet & Greet will cost £82.00.
