Quirky Feature: Many of the rooms have interesting views of the airport!
Top Tip: Kids stay and eat free when sharing guest rooms with adults
This is a great hotel for a pre-flight stay from Glasgow’s airport. The Holiday Inn is only a 5-minute walk from the airport – you really can’t get much closer – and is presented in a modern and minimalist style. Only 15 minutes from the SSE Hydro where well-known musicians often perform and the same distance from the Scottish Exhibition Conference Centre (SECC), this hotel is great for both leisure and business travellers.

This is a reasonably priced and modern hotel. It’s brilliant for business users who are either travelling to Glasgow for a conference at the SECC, or who want to use the 250 person capacity conference facilities at the Holiday Inn itself.
Rooms enjoy 24-hour room service for that cheeky midnight feast, or perhaps a meal after flying back into Glasgow late in the day. All the rooms are soundproofed so you don’t need to worry about the noise of the airport – your night’s sleep will remain peaceful. Even more restful is the choice of pillows from the hotel’s pillow menu to ensure you get the right type of bedding to suit your needs. Couple that with a flat screen TV and free WIFI and you’re going to feel like you’re on a pleasurable break whether you’re heading onwards to a holiday or heading out to a business meeting.
In terms of food this hotel enjoys a restaurant and bar area. The Traders restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. With the breakfast starting at 5am, even morning flyers will get a full tummy before they leave. The cooked full Scottish breakfast starts at 6am if you really want a boost for the day and then in the evening there’s a selection of la carte and specials available. Unwind in the Abbotsinch Bar & Lounge with a Starbucks Latte or some classy pre-dinner drinks. Far more fitting, seeing as you’re in the Scotland, have a “nip” from their wide malt whiskey menu.
