Virgin Atlantic Baggage Allowance

Hand Luggage

Virgin Atlantic allows 1 cabin bag in their Economy and Premium cabins, with a maximum size of 23cm x 36cm x 56cm and a maximum weight of 10kg. You must be able to place your baggage in the overhead lockers unaided.

Laptops  must be able to fit into the original cabin bag, but you can take additional items that would not be classed as “baggage”.  For example, a small backpack or rucksack, handbag, pocketbook, purse, coat, umbrella or coat.

Checked Baggage

Economy Light tickets do not include checked baggage, so this would need to be purchased in addition.

1 checked bag is allowed for Economy Classic and Delight ticket holders, weighing up to 23kg and fitting within the dimensions 90cm x 75cm x 43cm. Premium passengers can take 2 bags of this weight and dimensions.

Passengers travelling as a group are not permitted to pool their baggage allowance, therefore each item of luggage must fit within the size and weight limits.
