Great hotel with parking very quick and friendly check in room was clean and not at all tatty like some reviews state. Friendly in the restaurant we had the the set menu for evening meal which was very nice. Breakfast was overpriced this is the only downside of this hotel m we would definitely return

Overall very good. We were especially pleased with the standard of the food we had at dinner and the service received ( we did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that). We feel we cannot give the full 5 stars as there does need to be some updating of the decor and carpeting in the bedrooms and the corridors.

Prefer the Copthorne Gatwick as it has more character, a nicer a la carte restaurant and is nearer the airport however car was reasonably clean and had been moved to the pick up point on our return.

Effingham park is a nice hotel, a little bit dated but clean and comfortable and the staff are very helpful. Parking is safe and efficient. We took the taxi from the hotel to Gatwick airport and they were also very good and costs less than three of you on the shuttle.

nice room good facilities, we had a club room could be really nice if they cleaned and painted the small balcony.

We have used this hotel/parking several times before because you do not have to leave your car keys while away and there is a shuttle bus service. However, the hotel is now getting rather shabby, the restaurant evening meal was poor. The room was very hot, the radiator could not be adjusted without a spanner (we were on the ground floor so did not want to leave the window open) and although we asked at reception on arrival, no one came to turn the radiator off (or down) during the 14 hours we were there! There is no minibar or frig, and one often flies with something needing a frig (in our case gluten-free bread). We asked reception to book a taxi (Road Runners) for the next morning, because the bus times were inconvenient. The taxi arrived 10 minutes late and the driver did not even apologise. On our return flight, the hotel shuttle bus did not arrive. After waiting 40 minutes we phoned the hotel, who asked us to telephone the bus company (also Road Runners). We persuaded the hotel to do the chasing, and eventually a Road Runners taxi arrived and only charged us the cost of 2 shuttle bus tickets. We would not automatically book this hotel again without looking at alternatives.

Firstly, I did not book parking this booking was for a room for 1 night. Secondly before I record my issue let me say the hotel were very good, once I got into a room it was to standard and my visit was good, apart from a very noisy set of wedding guests who were rapping till 4:30 am The issue I encountered was that the hotel were not expecting me although I had confirmation from yourselves, they phoned their sister hotel to see if I was booked there and then had to set me up as a separate booking using my credit card to get me into a room. They provided me with tea in the foyer whilst I was waiting, I suspect the hotel bookings were blocked out for this wedding on the date I arrived, but FHR confirmed my room.

Room was an excellent size however the hotel was a little tired and did not meet my expectation of a 4 star rates hotel

it was ok for 1 night done the job

The entrance of the hotel is fine. but that is it. When walking into the room there was a massive piece of thread bare carpet at the bottom of the bed. The bed dipped badly to the middle. The drinks in all bars was ridiculously high, as was the food prices. We ate at a pub a few minutes down the road.
