Good, but you didn't tell us which stop to get the bus back from on return. The instructions and the website both say we would be told about it on arrival, but we weren't. We worked it out, but it would have been helpful to have been told it was the same location as we were dropped.

Excellent service. The car park is easy to access and the staff were very helpful. The distance to the terminal is short. We had heavy bags on our return and the driver was of great help in moving the suitcases

Excellent charging facility. Very short distance from airport. Only downsides were difficulty in finding the pickup point at a strange airport and difficulty in getting out of park because of "access denied". Managed to clear up problem on tanoy but unpleasant standing in pouring rain.

Ideally located with a short transfer time to and from the airport - and very frequent buses - the EV charging bays are next to the entrance and arriving home to a fully charged car allowed me to get back to Newcastle really easily and very good value for money! Petrol alone for this trip would have cost more than the parking did!

Would have been five star but on return we waited at Stance H as stated on out confirmation email for the shuttle bus for a good hour before realising that you don’t use that stance no more and having questioned the driver regarding this we received a very rude arrogant reply. The car park and distance was excellent and we used the electric charging point which worked very well.

It is early days for most EC owners so many every day experiences are new to us. Parking for a week or more? Do I need to keep the vehicle plugged in or will the batteries be flat? I chose the secure parking at Edinburgh Airport. Nothing could be simpler. Pre-book, the NPR systems allows you into the space, take your own mode 3 cable (the blue one), plug in and forget. A shuttle comes around in minutes and drops you at the door of the terminal. Repeat on return. Simple, fast, good value.

It was great to be able to reserve a parking space with an electric charge point. I did not have to go to the airport more hours beforehand to recharge the car after a 40 mile journey. The car was fully charged when I got back from the trip. The automatic plate reading entrance and exit worked perfectly and both arriving and departing, the shuttle buses to the terminal were readily available.

Directions for Secure Airparks Electric Charge

Fully Flexible with Electric Car Charge,Type 2 Chargers 3.5kw (Bring your own Cable) - Wider Bays Right at The Car Park Entrance all with Airport Terminal Drop Off/Pick Up

IMPORTANT - Please ensure you bring your charging cables with you. (We use the Standard Type 2 Connection on a 3.5kw Charger) Your car wil be plugged in for 24 hours on arrival to ensure a full car charge for your return. Once you car is charged we will remove the plug from our charging unit and place into a dock next to your car for your return.

Camera Recognition System in Operation. Please ensure we have correct car registration.

The only off Airport Car Park to Drop Our Customers Off Right at the Airport Terminal (STANCE H outside the International Arrivals Door)


Arrival Procedure: ticketless Parking

1. On arrival please drive up to intercom and follow on screen instructions directly in front of you (You will automatically be checked in and the barrier will raise)
2. If your details are not on screen or the barrier does not open use the intercom for assistance
3. On barrier opening please Report to Reception on entry to the car park and we will direct you to your reserved Green Bay.
4. The bus driver will offer you an optional ticket for information on what to do on your return
5. You will be dropped off and picked up at Stance H (International Arrivals Door) which is right in front of the airport.
6. Buses run regularly every 5-10 minutes; next bus time is shown on the entry kiosk.

On return

Board courtesy bus and return to car park. Further details of the return procedure will be given upon arrival at the car park.

for Sat Nav - Secure Air Parks 100 Ingliston Road Edinburgh EH28 8AU

From Forth Road Bridge - Follow the signs for the Airport.

From M8 - head for the Newbridge Roundabout (Junction 2). At Newbridge Roundabout continue on A8 (Edinburgh Road) following signs for the Airport.
Continue along A8 and only 1 and 1/4 Miles from Newbridge Roundabout, turn left down Ingliston Road leading you directly into the Car Park. (Please note this road may be closed if an event is on at the Highland Centre)
The final option is to follow the signs down Airport Road and take the first left at the Hilton Hotel roundabout, proceed to the end and turn right at the T-junction, 100 yards into the Car Park. (This route is always available during events)

From Edinburgh and the East - travel down Airport Road (Eastfield Road) and take the first left at the Hilton Hotel roundabout, proceed to the end and turn right at the T-junction, 100 yards into the Car Park. (This route is always available during events)

Please note that during the Royal Highland Show (June) and other major events at the Royal Highland Showground you should allow an extra 30 minutes on your journey time.
If an event is on please follow the signs to the airport and turn left at the Hilton Hotel..

If you book ev car in for specified period are you guaranteed to get a charging bay?If so does car stay on charger for the period or does the park connect / disconnect?The car park does have charging bays which are allocated on arrival. The car is plugged in on arrival snd once it is fully charged they will disconnect it for you
