Meet & GreetLiverpool John Lennon Airport information
Liverpool Airport, surprisingly one the UK's oldest operation airports officially opened in 1933, known as Liverpool (Speke) Airport. It is the first UK airport to be named after an individual, when in 2001 it became John Lennon Liverpool Airport as a lasting tribute to one of Liverpool's most famous sons.
Situated approx. 7 miles from the city, you'll find it next to the River Mersey. Currently the 12th busiest UK airport with around 4.8 million passengers per year, the numbers have vastly improved since the mid-nineties when it was way down the list in 20th place. Catering primarily for the low-cost operators with over 60 destinations throughout Europe, the airports layout means that passengers need to walk without cover between terminal and aircraft.
The original terminal building is a grade 2 listed Art Deco Style building dating from the late 1930s and can famously seen on early television footage showing packed terraces full of Beatles fans. Left derelict when the new terminal opened in 1986, it was converted into a hotel in 2001.

I found it easy to just drive to long stay carpark, no ticket needed as car reg recognised. Easily found a parking space. Quick walk into departure department. When i arrived back it was dark and car covered in ice so found it a bit confusing to drive out. Once i found exit the barrier lifted and I was on the road home. Easy peasy..
Wendy Tweed
Very disappointing we arrived back at Liverpool and could not get out of the car park it was saying we needed to pay £110 both myself and a family member had booked with you, when we spoke to the operator on the barrier they told us we didn’t have bookings until they eventually found us on a national data base we were told numerous times that we hadn’t booked it was both annoying and embarrassing we also had our 80 year old relatives with us it was freezing cold so frustrating we were then advised not to book with yourselves again as you don’t send the bookings through not a good experience after the flight home had been delayed
Clare

They didn’t have our booking details when we dropped the car off at 03.00, not a good start so early in the morning & when we came back one of our cars wasn’t parked ready ( as usual for pick up) two cars had to be moved from behind it to get it out. Although saying that, it’s very close to the airport & it’s only a 5 minute walk away.
Peter Adamson
The parking was so easy to find. The directions were excellent and the location was so close to the airport it was only a 5 minute walk I would definitely park there again
Mr Michael Boyd
Leaving car with meet and greet , Liverpool, no problem , but collecting it was a sham ! Phoned Meet & Greet ,Liverpool on arrival back in U.K. Took staff over thirty minutes to deliver car to us . Car was left in a car park over three hundred yards away. Member of staff was outside car waiting to pass over keys He said he was in a rush , passed over keys and walked away . I drove up to car park barrier to exit and was told I was to pay £25 to exit !!!!! With this , I remonstrated over the intercom with car park official and the answer I got , was take up the complaint with ‘ Imagine Meet & Greet as the’ve alway had problems with them — So all in all, very disappointed by the collection / delivery service of Liverpool’s Meet & Greet !!!
Steven Pooke

Gordon Roberts
As expected, the whole procedure was without any problems, clear concise instructions how to enter car park and collect ticket. Also on return driving to barrier automatically lifted the bar within a few seconds, exit was no problem either. Highly recommended.
