On arrival enter car park and park in lanes as indicated. Details for checking in and airport transfers will be displayed. Please allow 50 minutes for check-in and the transfer to the airport. At busy times, please allow yourself an additional 30 min

What is the pick-up procedure?

The shuttle buses back to the car park leave from bays M and N right outside the terminal. Driver will advise you of car collection procedure when you get back to the car park. Overstays will be charged £15 per extra day or part thereof.

What security measures does the car park have?

There was a problem retrieving the car key from the box.Computer,technichal issues. The Attendant solved the problem manualy.After a little holdup we where on our way. I use this airport parking fregwgently and shall do so in the future.

I found my car flat on my return, ...its been left on hazards lights. Not a great deal after a tough flight. I had to walk to 2 separate places to find somebody to help me. ( I've been with a big heavy suitcase and a 2 year old boy!) When I finally get help all went smoothly. Staff need to be more vigilant when parking cars and ensure lights are switched off before they leave the vehicle.

All went very smoothly except the confirmation email is hopelessly out of date. It refers to road closures in 2019 and also the coach pick up point at the Airport as being Stop 17 (it should be Stop R).

Arrived with plenty of time to spare which wasn't a problem, directed well by staff to our parking bay. Tip if you are able to do so is to drop luggage at the bus pick up.point instead of dragging them over the dirt road. Also take a pic of the bus ticket for a back up. Transfer time was 15 mins approx and a comfortable ride. Luggage racks were on board but lifting heavy cases into them may be a struggle for some people. There was no shelter whilst waiting for the bus though which could be resolved to improve the experience.

Easy to find & use. Staff on hand to point us in right direction on both drop off & pick up. Didn’t wait long for shuttle. Shuttle drops you really close to terminal doors. Will definitely book again for my next trip.

Easy booking process. Efficient drop off and collection procedures - nearly all automated. Only downside is 20min wait for a bus if you just miss one. Otherwise great!

Easy venue to find with the satnav, had read that some satnav send you to the wrong location. Once onsite and gained access after having your car filmed for any existing damage etc, the staff onsite were friendly and helped you from where to park, how to check in, drop your keys and direct you to the bus. Upon return it was easy to scan your card and reclaim your car keys showing where your car was parked and leaving the site.

Further to my report last opinion report on 15 Feb 20, upon our three-day no-fault delayed Easyjet arrival back at Luton we were guided towards Airparks reception concerning our three-day overrun and possible daily charge of £15, i.e. £45. The Airparks reception could not have been more favourable, and upon explaining the cause of our delay, all excess charges were waived without question. I have no idea how that resolution was arrived at, but full marks to Airparks, Slip End, Luton, and whoever else was involved in resolving this rather frustrating episode. Naturally I would not hesitate to continue to book with Airparks.

Directions for Airparks

Coming from the North (M1)
Leave the M1 at junction 10
At the motorway roundabout, take the first exit from the north onto Airport Way A1081.
Keep in the left hand lane and take the slip road signposted towards St. Albans, Harpenden A1081.
You'll come out onto a roundabout where you should take the first exit onto London Road.
At the next roundabout, take the second exit signposted St Albans, Harpenden A1081.
Turn left onto the B4540, signposted Slip End and Markyate.
At the traffic lights, turn right onto Grove Road.
Take the first left onto the service road.
Airparks will be on the right after about 100 meters.

Coming from the South (M1)
Leave the M1 at junction 9.
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto A5183
Continue on A5183 for approximately 2 miles and at the traffic lights turn right onto B4540 (Luton Road towards Luton)
Continue on B4540 for approximately 1.5 miles into Slip End village and at the traffic lights turn left onto Grove Road.
Take the first left onto the service road.
Airparks will be on the right after about 100 meters.

Some travellers have had trouble finding Airparks with their sat navs, so we suggest you take our directions into account. If you choose to use a sat nav to get to the car park, make sure you use the full address to avoid getting lost.

On arrival:
Pull up at the entrance barrier, which will lift after a few seconds (all cars coming into the site are recorded on CCTV). Park in one of the arrivals bays, then head into the check-in building. You check yourself in using the machines - it's a very quick process, though you'll need to have a copy of your booking confirmation with you. There's a member of staff on hand to help if you need it

The machine will give you a tag, which you should attach to your keys, and a ticket, which you should keep safe as you'll need it later. Drop your keys in the box with the same number as the lane you've parked in. Your car will be parked for you, so just head to the waiting area and hop on the bus to the airport. You'll need to show your ticket to the driver.

If you have sports equipment or lots of luggage, you may need to wait for a bus with more space during busy times, so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

Returning home

Catch the shuttle bus from bus bay 17 – you’ll need to show the driver your ticket. Once you’re back at the car park, head to the check-out shelter and follow the instructions on the key dispenser – it will return your keys and tell you where your car is parked.

Then just drive to the exit barrier - you'll need to insert your ticket to scan the barcode attached to your keys, and then the barrier will lift. If you lose your ticket, you'll need to go to reception, answer some security questions, then show a photo ID, so make sure you have one with you.

If you return early, you will need to contact the car park directly to give them as much notice as possible. If you don't, there may be a delay before you get your car back. We can't offer you a refund for any booked parking that you don't use.

Essential Information

If you have sports equipment or lots of luggage, you may need to wait for a bus with more space during busy times, so make sure you leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.

If you come back to a flat battery, the car park will be happy to jump start your car for free.
We normally advise our customers to give themselves 40 minutes to park at Airparks and transfer to the airport - longer during the rush hour between 4am and 8am. However, there are currently roadworks on the M1 between junctions 6a and 12, so we advise you to leave extra time for your journey to Airparks too. More information is available on the Highways Agency website.

If you return early, you will need to contact the car park directly on + the number on your confirmation 6 to give them as much notice as possible. If you don't, there may be a delay before you get your car back. We can't offer you a refund for any booked parking that you don't use.

Hi there, I'm worried about my return flight being delayed, as I don't wish to pay extra charges.I read that there is a grace period up until midnight. However, my flight isn't scheduled to land until 10pm. I noticed that if i book up until about 09:30 the following morning, the price is the same. Is it safer to do this, to avoid extra charges? And then just inform staff when I've landed?You can do that if you like, as that would cover you. However, the vehicles are bought out of the main storage compound ready for customers to collect, so I would,t add too much extra time or your car may not be bought out of the compound if you are several hours earlier
Hi there, we have an 8 seater Nissan MPV. Does this class as a 'car'? The car park state the following: Maximum vehicle dimensions are 2m wide x 2.1m high x 5m long. I do not know my return date. If I book via an online site and come back several days early is that ok?You can return earlier thrn the time you have booked but you would not get a refund for any unused days
