On arrival at car park on 08/04/12 we were told it was full so had to park at the airport long stay car park. This was no problem until we tried to get back out on 15/04/12 when the tickets would not allow the barrier to be lifted. After 2 or 3 attempts at this we ended up having to use the assistance button - the lady at the other end told us to do the same thing again, which we did, & still the barrier wasn't lifted. Eventually she did it by remote control but it wasted us time when all we wanted to do was get home!

Had to drive around for ages to find a space, it is a very large car park. It is very muddy when raining, our suitcases were filthy as it was a fair distance to the nearest pick up point - it really could do with tarmac, its basically a large field with no markings.

A fairly good experience, two problems firstly and very annoyingly,we had to wait over 30 minutes for a link bus fortunately it was not raining as there were about 30 people in a shelter. Also could the car park designation(J1 J2 J3) be made more conspicuous on the ticket we remembered the section ie P1 but were unsure of the actual park until a bus driver pointed it out to us on the ticket.

We're told on our arrival at the car park that there weren't many parking spaces so just drive round and try and find one. If we couldn't find one they would move us to another car park a short distance away. As we were in a party of 7, in two cars, this was not ideal. When we went back to reception there was no one there so we had no idea when the bus would arrive to take us to the airport. We waited 25 minutes, before a bus arrived. Not sure about the security at this carpark as we couldn't find anyone on a Saturday afternoon, and reception was unmanned. We were dreading the return pick up from the airport as the initial experience had not been good, however, within 10 minutes a bus had picked us up and the bus driver was very helpful. Would try a different car park next time, even if it cost a few pounds more.

No spaces available. Cars (including us) parked on road. Later were told that cars left in vulnerable places are often hit by other cars.
