Travellers in Northern Ireland have been offered more holiday options from today with the announcement of new flights from Belfast International Airport.
Low-cost airline Jet2.com has confirmed that new services will launch next year from Belfast to the Channel Island of Jersey and the Balearic island of Menorca.
The carrier said that the new flights represent its "continued commitment" to its northern airports.
Holidaymakers can choose from a total of 13 destinations with Jet2 from Belfast International Airport, including Barcelona, Ibiza, Toulouse and Pisa.
John Doran, the airport’s managing director, said he was "delighted" to acknowledge Jet2.com’s commitment to serving Northern Ireland.
He added: "Jersey has long been a popular destination with local holidaymakers in Northern Ireland and we are delighted that this, alongside the introduction of the Menorca route, will bring the number of direct scheduled routes now available from Belfast International to 48.
"Further compelling reasons to fly from your local airport and avoid the hassle of Dublin."
