One million flights to Derry from London Luton Airport are being offered by budget airline Ryanair.
Laura McCormack, sales and marketing executive for Ryanair, urged passengers to book immediately and added that the offer was only available until July 23rd 2009.
"Derry is a city steeped in history with numerous museums and cultural events. It also offers excellent shopping and a renowned nightlife scene," she commented.
Ryanair, which is Europe’s largest low fares airline, is also offering £5 flights to Dublin, Kerry, Beziers and Brest.
Ms McCormack listed the top five things to do in Derry, which included taking a guided walking tour of the Derry City Walls.
She also recommended visiting the Tower Museum exhibitions and the Museum of Free Derry for a historical overview of the town.
Other highlights included the many shops and Austin’s – the world’s oldest department store.
In May, Ryanair announced that all new bookings would be online check-in only, with passengers advised to travel to airports two hours before their flight.
