Glasgow Airport will this year begin to operate a new route to Amsterdam.
The service, which will be run by easyJet, will begin on October 31st and operate every day to Amsterdam's Schipol Airport.
"We are very delighted to announce this new route for Glasgow. We have listened to customer feedback and there was a demand for Amsterdam as both a business and leisure destination," Hugh Aitken, easyJet's commercial manager for Scotland, said.
He added that the route to the Dutch city would be the airline's 15th service from the Scottish travel hub.
In addition, Aoife Deasmond, Visit Scotland's international marketing manager for Europe, expressed delight at the news, saying that it would be good for Glasgow and Scotland as a whole.
Passengers will be able to purchase flights for the new route from Thursday April 21st, with one-way fares starting at £25.99.
Travellers can also reach a number of destinations across Europe from the Scottish travel hub, including Paris, Frankfurt and Berlin.
