Gatwick Airport offers flights to the Alsace region with easyJet from its North terminal.
And Tourism Alsace has urged Britons to head to the French region if they are fans of fine dining and golf.
Indeed, aside from Paris, the area has the most Michelin-starred restaurants in the country.
There are also a plethora of golf courses people can try their hand at. The Kempferhof course at Plobsheim lies 15 km from Strasbourg and is ranked as the second best in France by the Peugeot Golf Guide, the tourism body explained.
Guests heading to Alsace on Gatwick Airport flights may like to stay at the adjoining Kempferhof Hotel, which is located in a stately home dating back to the 17th century.
"Golfers who like a challenge should head for the Golf de Soufflenheim course designed by former Masters champion Bernhard Langer," Tourism Alsace added.
Other places in France easyJet flies to from Gatwick Airport include Bordeaux – which is famous for its wine – and La Rochelle.
