The new Birmingham Airport Holiday Inn Express will open its doors tomorrow (July 7th), it has been announced.
Following a £5.3 million makeover of an empty office block, the new airport hotel is now ready to welcome guests, the Birmingham Mail reported.
Located four miles from the city's airport, the hotel on Coventry Road in Yardley has 83 bedrooms and secure carparking.
Speaking to the newspaper, developer Harj Mattu said he hopes the Holiday Inn Express will prove popular with businesspeople, as well as those attending concerts at the NEC and individuals taking flights in and out of Birmingham Airport.
Other hotels passengers may like to look at include the Birmingham Holiday Inn, which lies two miles from the airport, as well as the Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC.
The latter takes five minutes to get to the airport, where people then have an ample choice of carparking space should this be required.
