Very clean room and well proportioned. Staff very pleasant. Value for money. Have stayed here on numerous occasions for one night including car parking when going on holiday with an early flight and will stay again no doubt.

Friendly staff but rather scruffy room which was very overheated. Good taxi service to airport but very poor from airport, had to wait 30 minutes in freezing cold; driver much later than we were told. All in all not up to FHR usual high standards

Although the parking/ taxis worked well, the room was very dated and also unbearably warm and did not have its own thermostat. In addition to the shower cubicle door not having a handle, the hotel also played background music constantly, which we could hear in our room throughout the night.

Lovely hotel with great grounds and parking. We were given an excellent room, with a separate sitting room and balcony, and really comfortable beds. We stayed just one night but parked for the duration of our Caribbean holiday and used the bus provided by the hotel to get us to Gatwick the next morning. This cost us £5pp each. On our return there was no bus provided, but the hotel gave us the business card of a local taxi company which we rang on our return. A taxi then arrived to take us back to the hotel for £13.50. The staff we encountered during our stay were friendly and informative, and I would definitely stay here again.

Clean room, ideal for overnight stay before flight out early morning. Transport on time . Hotel in some areas a bit dated,however this hotel suited our needs.

No sleep at all as there was a very large wedding! Our room was opposite the wedding reception. Loud music/DJ and party revellers till we left at 4:15 am. Also we were told on booking that there was a transfer included in the price however the hotel called us a cab which we had to pay £10 for when we reached the airport! The desk staff did apologise for the noise and tried to keep the stragglers in the bar downstairs. All in all a terrible stay! Won’t be returning! Shame!

Very dated 80's hotel. Worn carpet. There was a festival there when we stayed so was very noisy. It did stop at 7 but the hotel was noisy with revellers running around until 2 in the morning and doors banging. I would not choose to stay here again. The taxi was £13.50 each way to and from the airport, so would choose somewhere nearer to Gatwick airport. The restaurant is also expensive so we drove to the pub at the end of the road.

Really nice atmosphere, friendly staff. We were given a room on the top floor with balcony, which was lovely, although balcony needs same care and attention. Breakfast was ok but could do with more variety of food and an offering of fruit selection. Hence only four stars. We had a delayed return flight of over 3 hours, but we're not charged extra on our parking. Thank you for the lovely stay, we will use you again, as we do when flying from Gatwick, but would probably eat breakfast at the airport as it is better value.

Normally a 5 star review but on this occasion i was disappointed that i was charged for extra days parking as i was only given 8 days instead of 15 days with my offer. I was informed of a charge of £5 day extra but on arrival at the hotel i was told the charge was £7.99 a day extra which i was not informed about and luckily as i had booked in Feb and the charges went up in April the receptionist let me pay the lower fee. As a long term customer of FHR i have always had 15 days parking and looking on other sites the same hotel with 15 days parking was only a small amount more. As i have said in previous reviews the hotel is just right for us Clean room, comfy bed ,although Bar and Restaurant prices are a bit high but comparable with other hotels. I will continue to use Copthorne effingham as we enjoy staying there before our flight.

Pleasant stay on both occasions. Room was spacious and bed comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and Sports Bar. Staff were efficient and friendly. Food in Sports Bar not as good as we had hoped. Good location for Gatwick and the recommended taxi service was excellent.

We have stayed at the Effingham hotel on many occasions when flying from Gatwick. The staff are pleasant and efficient, the dining is excellent, and the accommodation is clean and comfortable. The taxi service to and from the airport is very efficient. We will continue to use this hotel when flying from Gatwick.

Really lovely hotel. The staff were polite, the room was beautiful, as were the grounds/surroundings. I left my car to go on holiday after our stay in the hotel. When I returned my car was perfectly safe and I would highly recommend people going away on holiday to use this hotel. You arrive at Gatwick refreshed and your car is parked safely nearby. There was a wedding going on when we returned. What a beautiful venue for such an event.

Probably the worst Hotel experience I have ever had. The Hotel itself is dismal, the décor exceptionally tired, threadbare carpets in the bedrooms and noisy. I honestly wouldn't stay in this establishment again even if it was free.

We stayed at the Effingham Copthorne before an early flight from Gatwick.It was part of a combined hotel and parking package. Hotel was clean and tidy but showing it's age in places, surprised by the size of the room! plenty of space unlike somewhere like a Travellodge. Food was good and we had a good nights sleep. We did not use their shuttle bus service as it departed at the wrong time for us, but they have an agreement with a local taxi company for a fixed rate transfer £11.50. Over all great value for money for what we paid. under £70 for a nights stay and up to 8 days parking. Will certainly use again.

From junction 10 of the M23 Motorway,exit onto the A264,Copthorne Way,towards East Grinstead.At the first roundabout continue towards East Grinstead until you reach the next roundabout.Take the first exit onto the B2028 (West Park Road),this is signposted towards Lingfield. Continue along this road and the Effingham Park Hotel is situated on the right,before the T junction.
