Like many airports, Bristol Airport is built on the site of a former RAF base, opening in 1957 as Bristol (Lulsgate) Airport, replacing Bristol (Whitchurch) Airport as the city's airport. Now known simply as Bristol Airport, it is owned exclusively by Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan.

You will find all the usual airport facilities here. The eateries include Dexters Restaurant and Soho Coffee co. where you can relax whilst you wait for your flight.

You can drop into the World duty free for a little retail therapy before your flight, or in one of the other outlets including JD Sports and Dixons as well WH Smith where there's still time to pick up your holiday reading.

Within the terminal there is up to 60 minutes free WiFi, and other services to be found are a bureau de change, cash dispensers, toilets and baby changing rooms.
