3 out of 5 stars

Thistle London Heathrow

Room and bathroom small but adequate. Clean and friendly staff but old fashioned especially the restaurant and bar. With their position they can upgrade the decors. . But very convenient for airport and parking

SJani

Thistle London Heathrow

Very easy check in and out. Clean. Staff friendly. Restaurant good. We used the Pod to get to Terminal 5 very convenient.

Thistle London Heathrow

Thistle hotels are often a bit worn and old fashioned looking so our expectations weren’t high! We booked it because of a very good price offer, proximity to the POD service into T5 and knowing we would be arriving late at night and leaving again very early in the morning to catch our flight. In reality, the whole experience was a lot better than our expectations. Yes the carpets/decor was a bit worn, but reception was bright and welcoming and the staff excellent in terms of friendliness and efficiency (which makes a change in ANY Heathrow hotel!) The room was small but clean and perfectly adequate for our needs. The parking was very easy and access to the POD’s into T5 excellent. For a total cost of £140 including 15 days on site parking, this was a perfectly adequate, friendly hotel in an ideal location for exceptional value

Thistle London Heathrow

Very easy to park. Speedy Check in . Room was fine and upon return loaded up car and drove away homewards! Would definitely recommend as great value for Hotel + Parking

Felix Compas

4 out of 5 stars

Thistle London Heathrow

Polite and helpful staff with a fast a professional booking in procedure. If there is one criticism, it would be the price of bottled beers in the bar which were exorbitant. Easy access to POD parking providing direct access to T5. All in all, pleasantly surprised.

Hilton (Terminal 5)

Nice hotel, very quiet. Food offering was disappointing and expensive as was the shuttle to the airport, £24 for two return. Lovely lady in the coffee shop, who helped us a great deal when our flight was cancelled which was more than British Airways. did.

Janice

Thistle London Heathrow

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Lovely bar and restaurant over looking the airport runway . Short walk to pod into T5.

Jo Wilkinson

Thistle London Heathrow

Adequate hotel and parking. Although car park barrier was open so not sure how secure it was while we were away. Staff helpful.

Julie Lake

4 out of 5 stars

Thistle London Heathrow

Hotel fine providing that planes are leaving on different flight path as rooms aren’t fully soundproof. Very noisy late evening but better next morning. No Heathrow hopper service despite your ads saying they did have one. Taxi is the only recommended way to terminal 3. Food quality good and package including parking is competitively priced.

Andre Burns

Thistle London Heathrow

Hotel very friendly. Meal good. 10 mins in the taxi to terminal 3

Shirley Everitt

Thistle London Heathrow

This would have been a five star review if the check in process hadn’t been so stressful. The receptionist couldn’t find my booking and would not accept my fhr booking reference. I tried ringing fhr but as it was so early I couldn’t get anyone. I was becoming worried and decided to make one last attempt at the desk. I repeated my fhr reference and she suddenly said ‘Oh you mean ???….. and used the full name of fhr ‘ (which I didn’t recognise) and promptly found the reservation. Parking good, journey to Terminal 5 was excellent. The hotel room was clean and comfortable and we had a very good breakfast in the morning which we paid extra for.

Sue

5 out of 5 stars

Thistle London Heathrow

We booked as a hotel and car park package, check in was easy. Large comfortable bed with a view of terminal five runway Perfect for our needs, will use again

Nanette Pegg

4 out of 5 stars

Thistle London Heathrow

A modestly priced hotel with parking. Keys retained. Facilities clean and comfortable if a little dated. Check in staff smartly dressed and helpful. Evening meal of basic fare but good. POD transfer very convenient. However, our transfer to Terminal 5 by POD was cancelled on the morning of our flight. Out of order! Disappointing as we had paid £12 for the trip. The hotel responded quickly with a back up bus. So no delay. Coming back POD was operating and we were quickly transferred back to hotel and car. In all a satisfactory experience and would consider staying again.

Thistle London Heathrow

Good value Hotel and Parking Package. The allocated carpark felt secure, though there weren't many free parking places and they were a bit tight considering the size of most modern cars. Good TFL bus service to T5

Steve Layton

5 out of 5 stars

Thistle London Heathrow

Great value for money, hotel and parking and then the pods to get you to and from the Terminal. Just want we wanted, hassle free.

Karen Dowler

4 out of 5 stars

Thistle London Heathrow

Fantastic location and only 2 stops on the bus (£1.65) to Terminal 5. Would have been 5 stars but staff / breakfast wasn’t ready at 6am which is the advertised opening time of the restaurant and the hot water in our bedroom was luke warm in the morning (it had been fine the night before). Despite these small points we would stay here again for the convenience and price to stay/park for 2 weeks.

Thistle London Heathrow

Looks like a 50's prison block and has a strange ghostly feel inside. Nevertheless, we had a comfortable, albeit small room, and a passable evening meal. It's reasonably priced and you'll only be spending one night there.

Thistle London Heathrow

Good deal for hotel accommodation and parking. Pod to terminal 5 a good way to travel

Mike Aldridge

Hardly any parking spaces but did eventually find one at back of hotel. Stay was fine and they booked us a taxi for airport in morning

Hilton (Terminal 5)

Very nice hotel with a large comfortable restaurant & other amenities. My room was spacious & comfortable. The buffet breakfast which was included was excellent. I was going to book this hotel thru my usual company but the price with BookFHR.com was much more competative saving me pounds. It is worth noting that the Hopper bus only serves Terminal 5 then you are obliged to use the free train to reach the other terminals or order a taxi. All in all a pleasurable stay @ a very reasonable price with parking included in one of the best hotel car parks I have experienced.

Fred Cooper

3 out of 5 stars

Thistle London Heathrow

Rooms a little dated but ideal for ‘pod’ and access to T5. Food and drink expensive.

Rosie

4 out of 5 stars

Thistle London Heathrow

Perfectly placed, would have 5* but for the problem with Satnav taking you to the back of the hotel where you can't enter it! Nothing special, but clean and edible food, all that was needed

Hilton (Terminal 5)

3 out of 5 stars

Hilton (Terminal 5)

I booked this hotel for several reasons 1/ Location, only a short distance from Heathrow T5. 2/ Car parking, I could stay one night and leave the car for the duration of my trip. 3/ The price. 4/ It was a Hilton Hotel. The overnight stay was really good. Unfortunately whilst I was away my car was damaged, the rear offside door window was broken. The help that I got from the hotel staff was negligible, certainly not what I would have expected from a premium brand.

John Bolas

3 out of 5 stars

Thistle London Heathrow

The hotel is a bit tired but to be expected at a transit hotel, rooms clean and quiet, super convenient for teminal 5 using the pod system, excellent value when you factor in the onsite parking. Used it before and would certainly use it again
