The car park itself was fine with plenty of parking and it felt secure. However, sign posts and directions were very poor. The post code given on the print out confirmation was different to the post code clearly displayed at the car park entrance. This caused us to doubt ourselves as to whether we were at the right carpark, wasting time driving around the various other carparks to check. Good job we left early. We managed to finally speak to someone who confirmed we were at the right car park even though it was different to the paper work. Upon exit, the display stated we owed £80+ which was soon sorted but not what you want to deal with at 3am. Now I know where the carpark is I would book again but my first time experience was unnecessarily stressful.

i pre-booked and the machine recognised my car number plate, however on leaving the car park at 11pm at night (within my time limit), the barrier screen said I had to pay an additional £46. This was soon sorted out and the barrier remotely opened. It gives me concerns that something is missing in the link to make the system work effectively.

Buses were very crowded but we did not have too wait long. Parking space management may be required as there were lots of cars parked in areas that were meant for driving to change row etc or parked across pedestrian walkways.

Map and Directions

Directions for Long Term Car Park (Pink) Last Minute

There are currently major construction and roadworks occurring at Luton Airport, this is causing tailbacks and huge delays for anybody wanting to enter or exit the airport. Please leave additional time to get to your car park. Please check the airports information https://www.london-luton.co.uk/roadworks for more details.

The airport is 2 miles from jct 10 of the M1 and is well signed from there. If you are travelling via the M25 leave at Jct 21 to join the M1. From the East and the A1 (M) go via the A505 from Hitchin. The airport is off the A505 and is clearly signed. Please allow extra time for your journey, due to roadworks on the M1. For further information please go to www.highways.gov.uk

When you pull up to the barriers, your car will be identified by the number plate recognition system, allowing for an easy start to your holiday journey. You'll be issued with a ticket and you need to keep that safe - you need it to be able to exit the car park when you come back.

Once you have found a place to park, lock up and keep your keys on you as your car will not be moved while you're away. Where you leave it is where it'll stay. As well as this, there are also regular patrols, security lighting and a fence for greater peace of mind.

Make your way to one of the numbered bus stops dotted around the car park to catch the transfer to the airport. The silver buses run every 15 minutes, take just 15 minutes to get to the terminal and the bus journey is included in the price.

The bus drops you off at the Long Term parking bus stop right outside the airport. When you come back from your holiday, just head straight to the same bus stop you were dropped off at and you can catch the bus back to your car from there.

Be sure to remember which stop you got on at so that on your way back you get off at the correct drop-off point to collect your car. You've still got your keys, so all you need to do is jump in and go.

The number of 24-hour periods charged for when you pre-book is calculated on the basis of the times you select when making your booking. However, if your actual entry and exit time changes and as a result your actual time in the car park runs into another 24-hour period you will be liable for an additional day's charge at the drive-up tariff.
