Nice place to start holiday

Hotel was straightforward to find and room was clean and comfortable. Recommended taxi company provided cheerful and prompt service, but the hotel service upon return was poor. I barely got an acknowledgement and had to ask for clearer instructions because my car had been moved while I was away (they warn you this might happen when you leave the keys with them) and the receptionist only gave me a bay number. We had arrived in the dark so I was unfamiliar with the car park layout. Apart from the rudeness of the hotel receptionist upon return, i would recommend this hotel and taxi company if the price is reasonable.

The hotel is on an island and is easily missed, so have you wits about you when going around the island. Parking was so simple - park your car and it's exactly where you left it upon your return, with your car keys being left with reception. NB. It does cost £10 for a taxi ride each way with a taxi company in league with the hotel. However, it's £16 if you don't use that company. The room was adequate on floor 5, but there was a damp smell that permeated from the bathroom. Keeping the door closed overnight helped but using the bathroom next morning, the smell was overpowering. I think next time I'd use a closer hotel to the airport to enable me to walk or catch the hoppa bus.

Great Hotel, easy to book, great price and Airport transfers worked very well. Will definitely look to book through FHR again.

Excellent plenty of good size parking spaces, reception very efficient and friendly ,they booked a taxi for early . Had meal before retiring to a lovely quiet room. Very satisfied and good value.

Room, staff and parking was fine. the taxi service to the airport was great but the return trip was not. I would not use ACE Taxis as a preference again.

Parking was easy and convenient, very close to airport with easy links via the regular buses. The hotel we used was good too, and also very close to the airport. Perfect for those holiday's with the kids when you have an early morning flight. Only slight issue was the hotel didn't have any parking spaces when we arrived due to an event that was taking place. We had to park our car on the road until the event ended (00:00). This wouldn't have been good if we were planning to take the option of leaving the car at the hotel until we returned from our holiday. Staying up until 00:00 is not ideal when you have to get up at 04:00 to get ready to leave for your flight.

Used this hotel a few times before and as usual the standard was high. They will arrange a taxi to the airport for £10.00. Car is left on site. A very smooth process from start to finish. FHR price was also the best available.

Good hotel, comfortable room and very attentive staff. First class! Taxi service to and from the airport was faultless. Collected car from hotel with no problems.

Nice hotel, good parking facilities. Nice friendly staff arranged taxi for a very early morning get away to Gatwick a short distance away from the Crowne Plaza. Contacted same taxi firm recommended by the hotel, to pick us up on our return, again prompt friendly service. All in all a decent experience at a very decent price, will do it again.

We have used this hotel before, and they really give 5* service. The price is competitive [allowing for £10.00 taxi each way]

Lovely hotel very convenient for our trip to Gatwick. Room was perfect and staff very friendly. Only complaint was that when rooms nearby were vacated in the morning, the cleaners cleaned them immediately, as early as 7.30. We did not arrive till 2 in the morning due to flight and was hoping to lie in.

Very well organised Hotel with Parking. Taxi arranged by the hotel is £20 return for 2 pax!! Will use again.

The hotel was very nice indeed. The room was quiet even as we were at the front of the hotel. The pool was a pleasant experince.

Excellent hotel and very good service from the staff. We stayed for one night and parked for 8 days great value the hotel organised us a taxi to north terminal which was only a tenner and on are return we could take a number 10 bus which stops right by the hotel which only cost 2 quid we booked an airport lounge on are outward flight as are flight was at 7.30am so had a nice relaxing breakfast, and we had dropped are bags the night befor so literally just walked onto the plane. The only disappointment was we didn't know the hotel had a pool so didn't have are swimming gear for nice swim the night we stayed. But hey ho! We will do it next time simply the best way to start a holiday departing from north terminal "brilliant"

Having booked with FHR I was pleasantly surprised to see where we were staying! A great start to our week abroad and with such an easy connection to Gatwick. Eight nights parking and a very pleasant stay in the Crowne Plaza for the price we paid represents excellent value for money and would have no problem recommending FHR to my friends, family and workmates!!!

Our stay at the Crowne Plaza at Gatwick was awesome! We were put into a family room which was unbelievably spacious and comfortable. The only criticism I could make is that the hotel doesn't have a shuttle bus running to the airport terminals so we had to get a taxi. Other than that, the only issue was that we had to get to the airport very early the following morning so didn't have time to enjoy the hotel for longer. Would definitely stay there again.
