Car Park 5 is currently being used as a NHS testing centre, so iff arriving in 2021, your booking will be Redirected to Car Park 2 Should you have gone into Car park 5, there is a limited bus service running from Car Park 5 to the terminal - free shuttle bus operates between 18:00 and 06:00 daily Trailers are not permitted at this car park. Bays for Orange Badge Holders are provided, but not guaranteed. Please ask staff via intercom on arrival for details.

Always enjoy the best customer service which is hassle free, quick and easy to use, from booking on the website, arrival at the car park and leaving the car park on our return. I always book Car park 5 and unfortunately got a little used to being re-directed to Car park 1 while the car park was being used for Covid testing, which was excellent. I missed that on my most recent visit because it's a long walk with cases, to the terminal, especially if the weather is bad, which is very frequent.

I booked car park 5 but transferred to car park 2,due to 5 being closed, I prefer 5 as more space between vehicles even though further from departures.will book with you again, good notification and no problems at car park 2 Thanks

Waited 30 minutes for bus to car park on our return and eventually gave up and walked. Transfer buses nowhere to be seen. Otherwise no problem with regard to parking.

Arrived at car park 5 to see a notice - closed - Covid Testing Centre. Please use car park 1. Went to car park 1 received a welcome message from number plate recognition, please enter. Parked up and collected car 10 days later, went to exit and barrier raised as I pulled up to it. Excellent.

Upon arrival to Car park 5 I was unable to enter the car park, normally this occurs automatically via number plate recognition with all other prepaid carparks I have visited. I had a car behind me, and he indicated that car park 5 was for airport staff only. I them spoke to the intercom, and he indicated that I needed to go to car park 1, and said I should have seen the sign on the entrance to the car park. I proceeded the reverse out of the car park, with is not so simple at 4am, and with traffic cones all around me. The signs are completely inadequate, and not fit for purpose as they are not visible to drivers, entering the car park from the access road. But more importantly, why can't you send an email, text message 24 hours prior to parking, if the car parking slot has been reallocated? You made a simple activity into a stressful one, as I had to drive around to find the alternative car park, and not knowing the airport well it was not so easy. On a positive note, once parked, the place was adequate, and I was able to enter and exit without issues.

This is a tough one because I feel you should have communicated to us prior to turning up at car park 5 at 4.15am on day of departure that car park 5 isn't open and we have got a free upgrade to car park 1. Then on arrival at car park 1 the barrier didn't lift and had to take a ticket. I was concerned that I may get charged again bearing in mind the signage at the carpark. Although this was clarified on the 2nd day of my.holiday via email and everything would be fine, a little bit of pro action wouldn't go a miss.

In these worrying travel times it is nice to know that an essential part of the journey can be completed with ease. Prices were competitive and booking through the website was swift and simple. Car park 5 was closed. Minor panic as we hadn’t been informed. Was a covid-testing site. This should have been known. Signage said to go to Car Park 1 instead. Rang through at the barrier and all sorted out. Nearer the airport terminal so actually made things easier. Really though, we should have been notified by email.

Overall a good experience and would normally attract 5 stars but for the experience on my departure. I was due to park my car in Carpark 5 at Birmingham airport but on arrival a sign directed me to Carpark 1 due to COVID testing taking place. This was not a problem the sign was very clear and carpark I easy to find. I leaving carpark I entered my issued ticket and had a shock that it was to cost me £138.00, despite being a pre paid customer and having been redirected to carpark 1 and been issued a ticket by one of your operatives via the intercom on arrival. This was initially disconcerting but your operator whom I spoke to was brilliant and very politely rectified the problem. His customer handling skills were excellent and he should be applauded for his efficiency and politeness, hence the 4 stars.

Car park 5 closed due to covid test station being set up in the area. Redirected to car park 1. On exit had to use intercom to give booking information. Very pleasant man checked details and opened barrier for me. Exited the airport in record time. I recommend using this booking.

Easy to book and I had to change my date, so I emailed and change was made easily. On arriving at 4am to park signs to say car park closed but after pressing help all car park 5 bookings had been upgraded to car park 1.. nice.. would recommend FHR don't ever have problem and rate is reasonable.

All ran very smoothly. I was particularly impressed that there were no issues in picking the car up shortly after midnight as a result of a delayed homeward flight as that technically that may have taken us into another day's parking.

Directions for Car Park 5

Leave the M42 at junction 6 and proceed along the A45 following the signs to the airport. On arrival at the airport follow the signs for Car Park 5.

Birmingham Airport Car Park 5 is located to the south of Terminal 2 and a courtesy shuttle bus regularly operates for your convenience. This car park is located within a 10 minute walk of the terminal building.

On Arrival:
At the entry barrier, our cameras will read your number plate and issue a ticket automatically. However, if you haven't provided us with your registration number at the point of booking we won't be able to automatically recognise you on arrival.

If you experience difficulty and have pre-booked, please don't push the button for a ticket, just push the help button and a member of our customer services team will assist you. . Please keep your ticket safe as you'll need this on exit.

On Exit:
At the exit barrier, please insert your ticket so we can validate your booking, and raise the barrier. If you have overstayed your booking, your additional charge will be displayed, which you'll need to pay. If the barrier does not rise, please press for assistance. There is a 3 hour grace period allowed to get back to your vehicle from your booked return time. After that time you may be subject to an overstay charge by the airport.

Late Returns: If your return is delayed and you park for longer than you have booked, extra days parking will be charged at £10.00 per day or part day after your booked return date - this rate is subject to change. The payment should be made at the barrier on exit.
