The service we received was excellent and ran like clockwork. Provided you have done everything right this is a first class service. The problem arises when a not so efficient human is involved. On exiting the car in front of us had problems. So we ended up reversing along with a queue of traffic behind us in order to use the other barrier - delaying our journey by several minutes. Could you perhaps introduce a pull off zone that enables drivers with queries to pull out of the main exit queue and resolve separately in order to keep the main flow running? Just a suggestion!

Could not be easier. Entry and Exit automatically via number plate recognition. 5 minutes walk to terminal or catch free bus. I would recommend this parking.

It was fairly straight forward and not too expensive. Not enough buses though and on the way out the card didn't recognise that we had prepaid and tried to charge us. This was easily sorted though.

Excellent hassle free parking. Waited around 10 mins for the bus on our arrival, buss waiting at stop when we came back. Automatic recognition worked perfectly , which was a great surprise as not had such good an experience at previous parking locations at other airports. Will use again

Easy to get to. Convenient to either walk or get bus to or from the car park. Suggest you make a note of which area you park and which bus stop you got on at ( you will forget by the time you come back). Good choice

Hassle free parking, the process is fully automated, just pull up to the barrier, your registration is identified by the camera and a ticket is dispensed and barrier lifts. On return you insert your ticket and the barrier lifts. Couldn't be easier!

Directions for Car Park 5

Leave the M42 at junction 6 and proceed along the A45 following the signs to the airport. On arrival at the airport follow the signs for Car Park 5.

Birmingham Airport Car Park 5 is located to the south of Terminal 2 and a courtesy shuttle bus regularly operates for your convenience. This car park is located within a 10 minute walk of the terminal building.

On Arrival:
At the entry barrier, our cameras will read your number plate and issue a ticket automatically. However, if you haven't provided us with your registration number at the point of booking we won't be able to automatically recognise you on arrival.

If you experience difficulty and have pre-booked, please don't push the button for a ticket, just push the help button and a member of our customer services team will assist you. . Please keep your ticket safe as you'll need this on exit.

On Exit:
At the exit barrier, please insert your ticket so we can validate your booking, and raise the barrier. If you have overstayed your booking, your additional charge will be displayed, which you'll need to pay. If the barrier does not rise, please press for assistance. There is a 3 hour grace period allowed to get back to your vehicle from your booked return time. After that time you may be subject to an overstay charge by the airport.

Late Returns: If your return is delayed and you park for longer than you have booked, extra days parking will be charged at £10.00 per day or part day after your booked return date - this rate is subject to change. The payment should be made at the barrier on exit.
