What is the drop-off procedure?

Drive up to any entrance barrier and press the green button on the ticket dispenser to request a ticket. Your parking zone will be specified on the ticket. Once you have parked please go to the nearset coach to be transferred to the terminal.

What is the pick-up procedure?

On your return please locate your nearest parking express coach station show the coach driver your ticket and let him know which bay you are in. He will then transfer you to your car.

What else do I need to know?

Please arrive at the car park at least 30 minutes before your earliest recommended check-in timePlease make sure that you keep hold of the ticket you are given when you enter the carpark. The car park has 25 blue badge spaces with easy access to bus stops.


Went very smoothly . The automated number plate did not work on arrival so had to take ticket but on return popped into office and they let me through barrier once I showed my paper work which I printed off from your e mails .

We always use long stay south. Easy to get to terminal via buses. Unfortunately we had a problem when we tried to leave, as machine would not read our ticket. Buses are very frequent and very helpful drivers.

Not as good as has it has been in the past - the entry barrier did not recognize my car number as having a booked slot and I had to contact the help line, take a general ticket and then visit the office on my return to have the ticket validated. Told it was due to a new system having been put in place with some bookings not being identified.

Everything went smoothly. I had changed my car three days prior to visiting and was able to amend this. The number plate was read and we entered without any issue. Upon leaving the barrier required payment. I explained to customer services the fact that we had already paid and the matter was resolved immediately.

System failed as car park entry didn't recognise that I had a FHR booking. Had to get Customer Service at car park to sort it out.He stated that he had a lot of problems lately with your bookings.

The last three times we have flown from Gatwick we have used the Hilton hotel one night stay and long stay south terminal parking package. I find this convenient and very good value for money and would highly recommend FHR.COM

Car got damaged on both the drivers side and passenger side, badly. No one left any details on our car, nor did anyone report to customer services. We reported to the customer services office, where you have to fill in a form. Then it's sent to head office and you have to contact them again further for more information. Ruined the return of the holiday.

Very easy to book 9 days parking at Long Stay Gatwick South. On the morning of departure we drove to car park and found a space in C area near bus stop 8. Signs indicated where free spaces were. On return - just one slight thing. The ticket you received on entering has to be endorsed.

Booking was simple and directions easy to follow. Transfers were frequent and the drivers helpful especially the driver on our return. The bus was already in the bus-stop as we came out of the terminal and he saw us rushing so he waited for us to get to the bus before moving off which was so very helpful. Slight hitch at the exit was quickly corrected in a courteous and friendly manner.

It has been a long time since we parked 'on airport' because the cost was prohibitive. This time we booked through FHR and the price was very competitive and cheaper than our usual 'off airport' park. Nice to self park for a change and have a quick transfer to the terminal. Only downside was our flight was from North Terminal but the shuttle is frequent and efficient.

Directions for Long Stay South

Exit M23 at jct 9 & follow signs for SOUTH Terminal. Follow signs for long term car park & park your car in the LONG STAY SOUTH car park - (Please be aware that RH6 0RN post code covers the whole of Gatwick Airport, but SAT NAV'S may direct you to the North terminal).

(If flying from North terminal use free monorail transfer from South Terminal).
On arrival, enter car park (car registration automatically scanned) and take a ticket at the barrier (if car reg. recognised will show your voucher number on ticket, if not 'Cashier' will appear) then follow signs to the parking area. Make note of the isle & bus stop number nearest to your car before boarding the free courtesy coach. On return, exit the terminal & head for the "On Airport Parking Courtesy Coaches" bus stop. Buses run approx every 10 mins. On return to car park, collect your vehicle, drive to exit barrier if voucher number on ticket, insert & leave. However, if 'cashier' is on your barrier ticket you will need to take your ticket & voucher to the cashier who will validate the ticket. ***Please Note, you must have your voucher or reference number with you in order to get your ticket validated or you may be charged again.*****WHEN PARKING IS PRE-BOOKED DO NOT PUT CREDIT CARD INTO EXIT MACHINE OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED AGAIN, SEEK ASSISTANCE FROM THE CASHIER***

***Charges are calculated in periods of 24 hrs from the time of arrival until departure time. If actual stay is longer than booked stay you will be charged extra on departure at the standard daily rate. Please note this car park does not accept trailers or motorhomes. When booking Long Stay North or South parking, can the booking be amended if necessary or is it a fixed reservation?Thank you for your email. . For the Long Stay South/North bookings you can amend times up to 24hours prior to your date/time of parking. We are not permitted to amend these two car park details within 24hours of parking.
